Actually darcs convert didn't remove them, for the same reason that it 
doesn't remove move a b ; ... ; add b.

See issue744 for more details. The upshot is that these kinds of patches 
still exist (e.g. in the darcs repo itself), but their meaning is 
hopefully relatively harmless.
