For interested users, looking at the script, it appears you need the
buildbot-0.8.1.tar.gz (not the slave one)

The buildbot install gave an error of the sort:

  error: Could not find suitable distribution for Requirement.parse('Jinja2==2.3.1')

But this appears to be non-fatal for our needs.
(I've mentioned this on #buildbot)

I'll push a couple of little tweaks and wibbles to this.
Not sure if my ssh-agent one is really sensible though.
