Just reviewing the stuff I did:
    Sending patches by email is now more robust and human friendly. We display
    a cleaner version in plain text for humans, and have added a compressed
    complete version of the patch for "darcs apply".

This is slightly incorrect: the complete version is *not* compressed, for
backwards-compatibility reasons.

By the way, there is still my "charset handling" patch pending review:
        http://bugs.darcs.net/patch639
The lastest version addressed every concern raised previously; this is clearly
not a blocker for 2.8 but if some core reviewer has some time, it would be nice
if it could make it in 2.8.1 (assuming this release scheme, proposed by Mark,
is accepted).
