[Evolution-users] Duplicate Messages

I'm getting a lot of duplicate messages. For example, when I cleaned the
duplicates out of the old evolution list I discovered that there were
581 duplicates.
   Folder “On This Computer : evolution” contains 581 duplicate messages.
   Are you sure you want to delete them?
What could be the cause? How can I investigate?
