	Hi,
I agree, though more accurate would be "you do not understand my
point".

Okay, thus it's the window itself, not the portion of the message
content in the window.

I guess you mean maximized. That still works here. How do you make the
window larger, by maximizing it or by dragging the edge of it?
Evolution stores the window size and position for the composer window
under org.gnome.evolution.mail composer-window sub-key, storing
window's width, height and the "maximized" state.

You said it's half-screen width, but full height, after open. I guess,
and only guess, that it's like a tile, which some desktop environments
can do when dragging the whole window. I guess your desktop environment
misinterprets the stored size and tiles the window, instead of using
the stored width. The window does not save the position, because it's
shown in the center of the screen.

It seems to me that it's what Patrick said, it can be your desktop
environment thing.

You can _try_ to not maximize it, but make it slightly smaller than the
whole screen. Whether it'll stick.

Well: a) I meant it only as a test; b) I did not say to downgrade
Evolution, but WebKitGTK; c) with your additional information I see
downgrading WebKitGTK won't help, because it's not the problem.

The thing is, as I understand it, that this begun to misbehave after
some change. I'm trying to locate that change.

	Bye,
