[Evolution-users] How to install my iCloud account on Evolution

Thank you.

I am on Debian 11 and the version is: 3.38.3-1+deb11u1.
When I open Evolution, there are those little turning circles beside
the name of each mail account indicating tha there is an active search
going on. But nothing happens for Apple iCloud (the name I gave to the
account) and there are no categories listed like: inbox, sent messages,
trash, etc. And a little red dot with the "minus" sign appears at the
right of the toolbar along with an Error message above the messages
screen indicating: "Connexion refusée" (Connexion refused) for
imap.mail.me.com
I also have like you Matt an app password for Evolution since it is
asked by the Apple company and the parameters I chose for the entering
messages are the same as yours. It is good to know that your iCloud
account works properly with Evolution.
I was wondering if the "Connexion refusée" had something to do with the
"access rights" at the base of the Linux operating system. I did some
command line operations to see if I could change something with the
"chmod" command but it does not seem to act on the
.local/share/evolution directory and the different "son processes" of
that directory.
So any ideas on how to get a functionnal iCloud account along with the
different steps to get it through is welcome.
Thanks again,
Simon
