	Hi,
being it CalDAV/CardDAV, you can connect to it directly from the
evolution-data-server, without a need of the man in the middle (the
SyncEvolution). Less dependencies, more fun. Consider it.

Right, the SyncEvolution simply uses "local" addressbooks, those under
On This Computer, and they do not care what format the backend uses,
because they access it through the EClient API (EBookClient/ECalClient).
The part you referenced about tested formats in the SyncEvolution
documentation is kinda outdated. It happens.
