Hi,
I am using Evolution 3.56.1 (rpmbuild) on Fedora 41 w/Microsoft 365.
I tried to forward an e-mail I got to another person. I got a NDR
bounce back with this message:
mx1.motosnap.com rejected your message to the following email
addresses:
Mickey Mouse (redacted at example.com)
The mail client submitted this message with bare line feeds, which
cannot be sent via SMTP protocol DATA command and receiving system does
not support BDAT.
mx1.motosnap.com gave this error:
SMTPSEND.BareLinefeedsAreIllegal; message contains bare linefeeds,
which cannot be sent via DATA and receiving system does not support
BDAT
I've never had a bounce back with an error like this.
The message I got is an HTML message. I did download the images before
I forwarded it.
I've check the preferences for options that might "fix" this client
side, as I high doubt the server side will adjust their end.
I have my Forward style set to Attachment, but I've never had to change
this. Also my character encoding is UTF-8, but I doubt that has any
impact.
I checked the issues for evolution and there was something for this but
it was long ago.
Any ideas?
Best,
/allen
