[Evolution-users] Save local synchronization to local folders while server is offline

Hello,

For all email accounts, I check "Synchronize remote mail locally in all
folders" and I have everything accessible locally, even offline. The server
of some email accounts is offline and may not be able to restore past email
when back online (I am in control of that, so it won't go online
unexpectedly).

Emails in my local synchronization are perfectly readable, so I was thinking
to copy them to a local folder on the computer, and whenever the server
becomes online again, I can copy them back there.

However, when I try to move or copy any email from such an account to a
local folder on the computer, using the graphical interface, evolution seems
to want to access the server and then won't copy or move the local version
to the local folder, even though the message is entirely readable locally.

Is there a way to do such a copy? Or another alternative to preserve those
messages so that I can put them back on the server once it becomes available
again?

If that matters, I am on evolution 3.52.3.

Cheers,
David.
