	Hi,
from what you wrote, also in the other thread of the same subject, it
seems there had been applied some filter, showing you only some of the
messages, not all.

I recall a problem, some years ago, where the folder could "inherit" a
filter from a different folder, like when switching from a folder with
filter on to the affected folder, but the search bar did not indicate
that any filtering is active. I was never able to reproduce it
reliably. A workaround was to enable some filtering and then tun it off
again. Note the Search itself can have enabled Advanced search (when
you click the magnifier icon of the Search entry), which is slightly
harder to spot.

I'm mentioning it in case you'd face anything similar in the future.
