I checked the Debian APT repo and my version is:
"evolution-common/stable,now 3.56.2-0+deb13u1"

My OP had

KDE, even though Evo is a Gnome-maintained application, my point was confirmed
by Milan, that it inherits the system settings, and gives me a perfectly
themed dark mode in Evo, so I go blind from the light.
