Hi,
that's pity. I did not want to add the third line for that text, thus
it's beside the Subject, slightly smaller. You can change the view, for
example to View->Current View->Messages, but it also turns the view
into table-like, not what the Wide View does. You have more control
what to see when there are only columns.

Do they also strip the "Hello" lines and/or quotations? What the
Evolution's IMAP does is that it takes around the first 255 non-
whitespace characters from the message body, removes the new lines and
so on, and uses it. In your reply it means the actual text, because you
top-posted. In this mail it means the credits line and few quoted
letters, which I agree is not that useful as it could be. Other servers
can provide the body preview on their own, like the Microsoft Exchange
does.
