[Evolution-users] Recover from broken WebKit?

"When you run Evolution from a terminal, you might see some message (possibly printed by the WebKitWebProcess itself), with a reason of the crash. A backtrace of the crash would also help."
Evolution itself doesn't crash. It just refuses to do anything useful, blaming its failure on WebKit:
"A WebKitWebProcess crashed when displaying the message."
The "Table of Contents" pane "works" but all I can do is delete messages.
I ran it with no command-line options. Nothing on XTerm about WebKit:
