	Hi,
it might be an odd question, but what precisely are you doing and what
Calendar you save the event to, please? You mentioned mail, but
calendars are separate from mails, thus I'm unsure what you are doing.

In short, the main difference between File->New->Appointment and File
->New->Meeting is whether Options->Attendees is checked in the
component editor, which shows, or not, the Attendees. Once the
component has attendees (and organizer), it is a meeting.

The icon on the toolbar, at the left-top corner, remembers what you
used the last time in the Calendar view. That means, if you once used
File->New->Meeting (or its equivalents), then the icon on the toolbar
changes and the Ctrl+N will use New Meeting. Using File->New
->Appointment will change the main action and the Ctrl+N will create a
new Appointment.

	Bye,
	Milan
