Do you run your own mail server? I remember seeing something similar
when I was trying to send a test email to my hotmail account. Then I
rebooted my machine (having both a postfix mail server and Evo mail
client), and reboot solved it. All my other mail accounts worked before
and after, and I did not try accessing hotmail from my laptop.
