[Evolution-users] "Add to Addressbook" - Save instead of "Add Copy"

Hello!

Evolution 3.52.3-0ubuntu1, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Since I upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04 (probably evolution 3.52 or so) there
seems to be a change of "behaviour". In the past, I could click on an
email address, choose "Add to Addressbook", then "Edit Full". When
there was already a contact with the same address or name, the existing
contact would open. I could edit it or add something and afterwards
save the changes to the existing contact.
Now when I try to save the changes, it tells me "Contact already exists
in the address book." and asks me to either "Cancel" or "Add Copy". But
I don't want to add another contact with the same name and address
(with the new changes). But rather I prefer the old behaviour to just
save the edits/changes to the (pre-)existing contact.
Could it be possible to change this behaviour or add another option
"Save to existing contact" (or something similar)? Maybe there is an
option somewhere in the setting I could not find.

Hopefully I could explain it well, otherwise please ask for
clarification.

Thanks in advance for any help

Dan
