=== SECURITY RECOMMENDATIONS ===
1. Block port 25 if you don't need email functionality
2. Use external email services (Gmail, SendGrid, etc.) instead of local mail
3. Monitor logs regularly for suspicious activity
4. Keep your system updated
5. Use fail2ban to automatically block suspicious IPs
6. Consider using non-standard ports for legitimate mail services
How do I "use" fail2ban?" Do I need to put something in
/etc/postfix/main.cf, or what?
How do I use a nonstandard port? How would I send mail to it from, say,
a gmail account?
I'm only setting up a local server on port 25 to test whether the
"disappearing header" phenomenon I've reported here is related to my
usual accounts being on IMAP servers, or maybe something being caused
by Eviolution without help from an IMAP server.
