You should shutdown the Evolution running on other computer(s) - it is
not beyond possibility that they are interfering with each other and
confusing things - IMAP is supposed to be sensible about it, but it
depends on the specific IMAP server and on how things are configured.
You need to make things as simple as possible, so try not to run two
instances - at least not until you have narrowed down the problems.

The settings are possibly the issue. I know it's a pain to recreate all
the settings, but it will save time in the long run if things work
properly.
