Password issues are usually due to gnome-keyring-daemon not running -
is it? Do you get any errors shown? Try running seahorse to make sure
the keyring can be accessed successfully. Also make sure you have the
correct encryption and port settings with the correct
username/password.
OAuth2 issues can be debugged by setting OAUTH2_DEBUG=1 when running
from a terminal. If you want any help with the output, then please be
aware that it will contain secret keys and possibly passwords.

There's no reason for sbcglobal.net or att.net or yahoo.com to be
problematic.

Are the settings complex? If not, just recreate them by hand rather
than copying from somewhere else.

It's talking about the on-boarding when you start Evolution for the
first time - hence why it's under "Starting Evolution for the First
Time". One of the pages in the process (not the help pages) talks about
restoring from backup and if you don't have a backup, you should just
go to the next page in the startup process.
