But it's not in a thread. You have started a new thread and repeated
all the same information again. This is something like the 4th or 5th
or more times you have abandoned a thread and started a new one. Why?
It seems like as soon as you get some suggestions you don't like, you
stop answering questions and send a new message to start the process
again.

I've said it before, but you ignored it: some of your MH
messages/folders are corrupt. That's why it's having problems with
them. It was clearly evident when you tried to convert the folders to
Maildir and it reported many errors. If you want to sort out your MH
folder problems then you need to pay attention to what mh2maildir or
mh2mbox says are errors - I'm not saying that you should convert all
your folders to Maildir or mbox, just that the conversion scripts may
be a good way of sorting out where the problem lies.

It needs to scan the MH archive to look for any new folders or
messages. There are options under the account's Receiving Options to
limit the checking for new mail, but I suspect that on startup it does
a quick scan to make sure the folder list is correct. (I fear if it
didn't do that there would be complaints that the folder list is not
correct.)

You also have an issue with IMAP I believe - can I suggest as a first
port of call you disable the MH accounts so you can sort out the IMAP
issues without the whole thing getting "stuck" on local folders. I seem
to remember that the MH mail is just an archive and you don't get any
new mail in them, so unless you look in the archive all the time
disabling them temporarily will not be an issue.

Ultimately the most sensible thing to do will be to discard all of your
Evolution configuration (or at least move it aside) and start again
setting things up in a clean environment. You could, alternatively,
create a new Linux account to make sure everything is clean and go from
there. If that new account behaves properly, then you know there is
something wrong with your original setup. Don't be tempted to restore
Evolution from a backup or copy files from elsewhere.

You need to simplify things as much as possible - like only ever have
one mail program accessing your mail; create one account at a time and
make sure it works fully; if you come across a problem with an account,
disable all the others and run Evolution from a terminal with debugging
enabled.
