they both use WebKitGTK, thus if it's broken, then it makes sense.

If it started suddenly, then there surely changed something. You might
not update anything on your own, but some background process can do it
for you (like automatic updates in gnome-software). Try to downgrade
the WebKitGTK package; I do not know how it's called in your distro,
Fedora has it named webkit2gtk4.1.

Run Evolution from a terminal. I guess WebKitGTK prints some errors
there. That will help to identify the problem. Also, the crash usually
produces a backtrace, another thing which helps to identify the problem.
