Hi,
I would not do that, please. I do not know where to add any such
workaround. The backends live in the evolution-data-server, the
Exchange related in evolution-ews. The Exchange might not be directly
affected, the evo-ews converts the data received from the Exchange
server to the vCard format on its own. Then it might be the CardDAV
backend, which is in the evolution-data-server. The vCard import would
also not catch on this.
The "site quirks" are always a pita, beginning with "how to detect the
server does still a bad thing" and whether the server is an affected
server. Having this code up-to-date is a problem, especially when
people use long term support distros, which do not update that often.
I've a feeling Evolution did something similar some time ago, but
really long ago. It feels known, but I cannot find anything related in
the NEWS files, thus I can be wrong about this. Evolution has its own
vCard parser, and producer, which could be broken in the past.
Bye,
Milan
