Thinking about it I haven't seen a warning about a missing folder in my
filter for a while.  Is it the same code that handles both the filter
folders and the "special" folders?

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to happen often and I don't know what
triggers it, so speculatively logging may be futile!  I'll do some
tests to see if I can spot some consistency/reproduciblity.
