What are you expecting to happen?

I may be wrong (as I'm not a developer), but this a bimodal option -
i.e. it's either the previous or next message - it's certainly possible
that the "next" message in the list after a deletion is actually what
you think of as the "previous" message as it can depend on things like
threading.
