Hi,
do they disappear after certain action, I do not know, maybe by editing
some other event, or simply the next day, or the next reboot? When the
calendar connects for the first time it refreshes its content, which
asks the server about existing events, which are then added to the
local cache (and those missing are removed locally).
To check whether the problem is in the Evolution or elsewhere, I guess
the best would be to try the latest stable version, because that yours
is years old. The easiest way would be to install the Flatpak version
of the Evolution, like the one from Flathub:
https://flathub.org/apps/org.gnome.Evolution
It has its limitations, but it's perfectly suitable in these cases,
where you want to use some Long Term Support version of the system,
which does not provide an up-to-date Evolution.
Bye,
Milan
