[Evolution-users] Calendar Event Color Override

Hello.
I am using Evolution v: 3.58.2 Flatpack on Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon,
and I am not able to override the event color as it always stays the
color of the linked calendar, which in this case is my Google calendar.
The color representing my Google calendar is purple, and no matter what
I do, when I add a new event in Evolution Calendar and select an
override color (e.g. - red), when I save and close the creation and/or
editing of that event, it always stays purple. When I go back into the
event to try again, it has cleared out the override color I chose
(red).
I really want/need each event to be the color I select, but I haven not
been able to figure out how to do this. This is important to me because
I have my Google calendar on my Android phone, too, and it's important
to me to differentiate between the color of the events.
I did go through my desktop browser into Google Calendar and changed
the color of an event there, but the change was not reflected in the
Evolution Calendar when I closed and reopened it.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you. :-)
