I saw this thread on dhcp-server mentioning maintain, it might be worth
watching/following up on.

Hi, I'm running ISC's DHCP 3 on a Red Hat Enterprise 3 system and am
interested in running some sort of web admin GUI so that I can delegate some
of the workload for some subnets to users who are not as comfortable with
the command line interface.

Any suggestions? I've searched the list archives
but was unable to find any mention of this, and I've googled and looked
around on sourceforge and freshmeat and have found:

maintain -- http://osuosl.org/projects/maintain
sauron -- http://sauron.jyu.fi/
dixie -- http://dixie.sourceforge.net/
webmin -- http://webmin.com
infoblox -- http://infoblox.com/products/dnsone_techspecs.cfm

Infoblox's DNSone product's GUI uses a Java interface and I am very much
trying to avoid this (also have heard first-hand accounts of the nightmares
of upgrading the systems). Webmin is not an ideal choice from a practical
standpoint as I have two /11 nets and three /16 LANs that I manage -- the
GUI's great, but the sheer number of networks, shared-networks and hosts
makes the GUI almost unusable -- switching it to "no icons/text labels only"
helps, but it's still not ideal. None of the others really allow me to
import a
dhcpd.conf file, which would be a big bonus. If I could unclutter the webmin
interface, I'd be a happy camper, but I'm not enamored enough to webmin to
avoid listening to other suggestions. Ideally I'm looking for something
that's
network-accessible (via webpage or app/server).

Do any list-members use a GUI -- either for day-to-day management
or delegation of management -- and if so, what do you use or recommend?

Any suggestions on making any of the above programs easier to manage
(webmin, for e.g.,) or any GUIs that I haven't found would be most welcome
as well.

thanks,
-Abel
