It would be great if a user went to a page, but wasn't authenticated, it would forward them back to the originating page after they logged in. This could be achieved by storing the url to go to as a GET variable before the user is redirected to the login page. From there the post_login_forward hook could be used to forward them back when the GET variable is available.
