Hi Lance,

We're currently accessing PowerPC resources through the GCC Compile Farm
project via the following hosts:

   - gcc110.fsffrance.org (gcc1-power7.osuosl.org), Power 7, CentOS 7, ppc64
   - gcc111.fsffrance.org (power-aix.osuosl.org), Power 7, AIX 7.1, ppc64
   - gcc112.fsffrance.org (gcc2-power8.osuosl.org), Power 8, CentOS 7,
   ppc64le

Given that, I have a few questions:

   - Will the lpars used by the compile farm project be transitioned to
   other resources?
      - If so, how will that effect the availability of an AIX resource?
   - If my access to these resources is via the gcc compile farm, is there
   anything I need to do as a user to maintain access through this transition
   or is that entirely managed by the GCC Compile Farm project itself?
   - My use is primarily for testing various compiler environments for
   CMake, an open source project.  Should I apply for independent access for
   open source development on these resources or just continue access through
   the compile farm project?

I thought I would send a clarification on what is being shutdown vs. not.

Any GCC Compile Farm machine currently on a POWER7 machine (i.e. gcc110 and
gcc110) are *NOT* planned to be shutdown or removed anytime soon.
Everything else that is on POWER7 will be either shutdown or migrated to
our POWER8 systems. These systems are getting rather old and also take a
lot of our resources to maintain when hardware failures happen.

In addition, this is *only* impacting POWER7 generation machines, NOT
POWER8.

Hopefully this clears up any confusion.

Hi Lance,

I'm currently managing the two instances openjdkpower.osuosl.org and
openjdkpower-le.osuosl.org however I can't say if they are hosted on
POWER 7 or 8. As I've wrote you recently, I can not currently log into
these instances.

I would kindly ask you to upload a a new public key (attached to this
mail) to the root accounts of these instances.

If the two instances I mentioned above are currently hosted on POWER 7
hardware it would be great if they could be migrated to POWER 8. It
would also be fine for me if they would get re-imaged with a new OS
(i.e. Ubuntu 18.04).
