[Replicant] Replicant project supplying a 'Generic development' mainline image?

Hi,

Regarding the work surrounding getting ports to the mainline kernel, is 
there any chance a sort-of 'Generic development' image could be made?

I.e. an image made for mainline kernel, for use in a container or VM?

If an image had just the bare essentials for running applications (apks) 
it would be quite useful.
