Hi,
The Replicant 6.0 0004 RC5 images have been published days ago.
The bug report that regroup the result of all the tests is here:
It also points to a migration procedure that is being written to enable
people to migrate their data from Replicant 6.0 0003 or earlier or
Replicant 6.0 0004 RC1.
This procedure is necessary because:
- The application signing key changed twice: once in Replicant 6.0 0004
RC1 and once in Replicant 6.0 0004-rc2.
- The contact database format changed when removing the nonfree
Ambient SDK.
Contributions to that procedure are also welcome as it has not been
extensively tested yet and it probably requires a bit more context and
polishing.
I also forgot to push some minor patches to add modem test tools before
doing the RC5. Since that's now done they will end up in the release.
Personally I've managed to migrate my main phone, a Galaxy SIII
(GT-I9300) to Replicant 6.0 0004 RC5 and I didn't see any issues so far
but I didn't have the time to test the other devices yet.
Denis.
