After trying to reach out on the IRC channel, and not getting an answer. Im here now to ask the some question. Im reorganizing my commit history on my own wiki-migration-scripts repository. Is this of any importance? Cheers for feedback.

Also we are getting close to code maturity and stability a RFC should start be writen for us to send a request to git upstream to add this to main codebase.
