It’s Christmas busyness, so I wouldn’t devise a plan to start a
different project yet. ;)
For a more direct and failsafe (also more difficult) process, commit
the apps as plain text files to the repository at
http://gitorious.org/f-droid/fdroidserver/trees/master/metadata
