but there is not /dev/mmcblk1p2,I only see /dev/block/mmcblk1p2 and my vmlinuz is zImage style, can be used without initrd, I trid to flash it alone into boot before, but mobile can't boot and only show htc logo, I tried to resend vmlinuz, then fastboot tell me remote need initrd then told me failed.

 I use mount in better terminal in android mobile, it show me that the rootfs is the initramfs and it don't has a real / partition.
But if I only want to boot to sdcard, does you cmd can work?
I can't test this time, I want to test in school tomorrow, but please tell info as much as possible, then I can finish test in one time and report you.

read my mail again, in my mail I said root=/dev/mmcblk1p2 and zImage(I'm not 
totally sure about zImage but I am totally sure about root=)
