I think you're misusing "module" here. We have always shipped the wifi
module, but we didn't ship the non-free firmwares that the module loads
and interacts with. We are not going to distribute these any time soon
as our goal is to provide only free software. 

If you want wifi running on your replicant phone, you'll need to put the
non-free wifi firmwares in place as listed here:
http://redmine.replicant.us/projects/replicant/wiki/NexusSProprietary#Firmwares

We won't provide official instructions on how to install these
firmwares, though you may very well find help on our IRC chan,
#replicant on irc.freenode.net ;)
