Your experience with flashing Replicant made me realize that the the
instructions to install Replicant on Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 are not
appropriate at all since, as you have experienced it, it may very well
put the device in an unusable state. It is NOT bricked, there is ALWAYS
a possibility to recover in such cases, but it's not obvious for someone
who's not used to it and it may then frighten the user, who will then be
afraid of installing Replicant in the future.

That's definitely not what we want, so that's why I spent hours
yesterday trying to figure out a better and cleaner way to flash on
these devices. It is now safe and leaves no chance of putting the device
in an unusable state. This new flash method will be released along with
the 0002 Replicant 4.0 images. Please wait until then if you want to
flash your device with Replicant.

I personally apologize for the inconvenience that flashing Replicant
caused you in the past.
