Install Replicant 4.0 002 on Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000)

The issues you are describing are very odd and seem specific to your
device (it works perfectly on mine). Perhaps you should better try
installing the *matching* CyanogenMod version, which is CM 9.1.0, before
Replicant.

Also, it would help to mention what the recovery screen mentions after
the installation (and error might very well have occured).
The kernel we use is similar to the one in CyanogenMod and our userspace
only slightly differs, so I tend to think that the problem comes from
your phone.

Keep in mind that Replicant comes with no guarantees: we try and do our
best to make the installation procedure reliable and relatively easy,
but problems may happen still.
In the case of such issues, I cannot do much unless you provide me logs
or at least a description of what recovery shows at screen, since no
such error appears with my device.

Are there reports of working installations of Replicant on Galaxy S?
Is there someone else facing the very same issue?
