I know my answer will seem very rude here, but that's what it is.

The fact that the bootanimation is not properly adapted for the GTA04
display is well-known by me, and it wouldn't have taken more than a few
minutes to fix it. Now why would I do it since the GTA04 doesn't have a
working Android kernel? Or does it have a reliable one that produces
expected results now, one that compares to what any Android device out
there have, or does it still segfault every 10 minutes?

My point here is that I won't maintain a device that doesn't have a
working kernel base. I'd be happy to get back to working on the GTA04,
but I have decided to give up on working on the kernel side as it was
both very frustrating and made me waste a considerable amount of time
already, for nearly zero results.

I really wished for the GTA04 project to succeed, but I think I tried as
much as I could, failed miserably, and decided to move on with things.
There are plenty other devices out there that I'm more useful working
on.

I don't like the idea, but we could discuss it further if it ever
becomes relevant.
