First time subscriber - question regarding replicant

Phone number isn't tied to device. I get that VZW conflates a couple
of subscriber numbers (there is no IMEI vs IMSI in the way VZW uses
their system; VZW just uses the IMEI and calls it ESN) so the
confusion isn't anything out of the ordinary.

If you install Replicant on your device nothing will happen to your
phone number. I doubt the modem will work so you'd basically have a
tablet.

It's reversible, though.
