Well, I don't know if it's exactly the same problem since the bug states 
"Phone is Samsung Galaxy S I9000M (not I9000)" and mine is i9000.  
Additionally, I am connected to the mobile network but I have no data 
connection, I mean I can make and receive phone calls, but I can't 
connect to the internet through a 3G network.  Is this your same 
problem?
