David,

Sorry I have been taking so long to get back to you on this task, my student devs assured me that they were able to use their invites. However, it sounds like there's been a disconnect somewhere. I will check in with my students on Monday and walk them through the sign in process and generating a certificate.

Again, sorry for the confusion. I will let you know if we run into any issues.

Hi Justin, I don't see them in the account yet, but I just sent them all emails to their ONID email addresses inviting them to join the program. If they'd like me to use a different address, just have them contact me.

Regards,

David

David,

I'm just writing to check in with you again to find out where we are at in acquiring the rights to use the University's Enterprise iOS developer license for the Sea Grant mobile app projects. All of my students should have replied to your initial email thread with their apple developer accounts:

*         Jacob Broderick

*         Michael Freeman

*         Mollie Holmes

Please let me know if you need any more information on the project or our apple developer credentials and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Sea Grant Devs,

If you have an iOS developer account, please reply with your user name so that we can set you up with a testing certificate for deploying test builds an iOS device. If you do not have one yet, you can create one for free<https://developer.apple.com/register/index.action>.

David,

My apple developer account is: carrju at onid.orst.edu<mailto:carrju at onid.orst.edu>

Thanks!

Great! I will get back to you with our group's Apple IDs once everyone is back in the office. Look for those early next week.

Thanks!

Hi Justin,

I can invite you or any other developers on your team that need access to the account. I don't know the specifics from there, as far as submitting and getting your app ready for it, but once it is submitted, I can review and approve.

Just let me know the Apple IDs and I'll send you all member invites.

(Just a note, this is for internal distribution of apps and testing only...this is not for submission to the store...that's our other iOS program account).

Regards,

David

David,

Hello and happy Friday! I just wanted to check in with you again; Sea Grant and CASS are interested in publishing an app to the Apple Store and we think OSU's enterprise license would be a good fit for everyone's business needs. However, we are at the point where we must test our app on an apple device and we cannot deploy our test build to our test devices without the proper app-licensing resources.

Please reply with any additional information you require from us to begin this process.

Have a great weekend!

David,

I am a CASS engineer coordinating Sea Grant's mobile app projects: "Working Waterfronts" and "What's Fresh". Bob Miller emailed me last week to let me know that both of you had talked about how to go about setting these projects up with app deployment privileges (for testing and release) for iOS through the university's Enterprise license.

Bob made sure to pass along the requirements to use the university's license. I understand and am prepared to make sure we comply with these requirements, but I have not had a chance to speak with the Sea Grant stakeholders to make sure they understand what these changes will look like.

My student developers are quickly approaching the point where they will need to test their software on iOS devices, how should we proceed? How does a test deployment using the Enterprise license differ from release?

Thank you for your time and have a great day!
